So its 5:10 a.m. Tuesday September 10th, and I've been awake for 40 minutes now. I'm not tired but I also don't have a whole lot of energy either. I don't feel hungry yet so I'm not going to juice yet. I don't believe I'm gonna go back to sleep, but we will see. From everything I've been told, today is supposed the worst day. I'm supposed to be tired, unable to concentrate, and hunger pains. I will check back in later to document if I am feeling any of these 2nd day blues!

Ok now it is 7:52 a.m. I still have not gone back to bed. I just sat down with my first juice of the day. For this breakfast I used celery, beets, radish, cucumber, blue berries, apples, ginger, lemon, and peach. I'm not so sure how I feel about this concoction. I think I might have used to much beet, carrots. I have a little bit of a upset stomach. Still no change in energy levels.
Brogo will be checking in later, I will also be updating how I feel around lunch time.

Brogo Day 2
So today was substantially better than yesterday... I didn't feel sick, I felt alert and happy all day. I had some serious cravings, particularly when the table in front of me during class was covered in donuts, cookies, muffins, and (my favorite) kolachies (spelling??). Ya, that took a lot of self-restraint...
So my menu for today consisted of:
Breakfast: 3 eggs and a 16 oz. juice (pineapple, raspberry, blueberry, peach, celery, ginger, apple and radish)
Lunch: chicken and another 16 oz. juice (same recipe), some grapes and nuts (cashews, brazilian nuts, almonds, macadamias)
Linner: ...Starbucks... oopsie! I had a tall, non-fat no-whip pumpkin spice frap and I am NOT ashamed, lol, and a 16 oz. juice (strawberry, eggplant, lettuce, spinach, apple, plum, ginger- so delish!)
Dinner: still deciding what to have, as it is my last meal of solid food. But, it probably won't be much solid food, and I'll whip up some tasty juice.
Lucas's mom recommended I use the ginger in my juice for my nausea and it has definitely done the job!
Our "workout"
-About 40-45 mins (Lucas stayed in about 5 extra minutes) in the sauna. It definitely wore me OUT!
Tomorrow starts my day 1 of only juice... I am kind of nervous. I have to spend a few hours up at school so hopefully my tummy isn't rumbling for something solid to devour. Lucas is on day two, and he is doing okay. He is definitely handling it better than I anticipate that I will handle it, but I can tell he is a little blah. He just is not his typical happy-go-lucky, energetic, chatty-kathy self. I know this is the hardest day so that is normal, but I just hope it gets better for him so he can reap all the benefits this lifestyle has to offer! And, I hope I can handle it with as much style and grace as he has.
I would post some pictures, but I am so tired from the sauna that I don't want to get off the couch to get my cord so I can synch my phone... Lol.
Until next time...
Brogo
